I found this one I PS-d up during a cruise-mode gripe thread I loved those old forums, there was always something to argue about

Some pics....
I had a stalker for a few days.... here's one of the emails he sent me. Nobody ever fessed up to that one. I was such a goody-two shoes, I tell ya.

I used to post this when people would assume MCO was going to be shutdown before they actually announced that it was.

From a dev night in Midtown that the hot dogs took over...

I have a few setup pics, and Kevin's STUFF pics and very few other random misc stuff.

That Freek guy always tried to ram me, but the wonders of my dialup + MCO lag meant he never could! Carter, on the other hand.... poor Carter. I'm sure he has pics somewhere of the damage Freek did.PigPen wrote:[HoT] betta recognize *throws up signs*

So I was going through a folder that had some MCO stuff in it, and I'm guessing by the "This week's time trial ends" date and my monstrously high level that this must've come during the games final week. I really loved Loading Docks (and all of industrial) at the end.
Sorry for the big pic, but I didn't feel like resizing it. I guess that means I'm not sorry for the big pic... Screw it.

Monstrously high level? Hmmm. I ran with the Retreads toward the end of the game, we had the highest 3 players in the game. Shoot I could do level 40 in a couple of weeks.aqua wrote:So I was going through a folder that had some MCO stuff in it, and I'm guessing by the "This week's time trial ends" date and my monstrously high level that this must've come during the games final week. I would get one high enough to get the cobra give it away and then start over again. Man I miss that game.

You guys remember TXHottie from Midtown?
Here she is, proving that chicks really did play the game. Who'da thunk?

EDIT: OK, I can't get .bmp's to work, so it's a link.

We "hotdogs" weren't really known for our high levels. I think Ben barely made it to 25 to run industrial.Da_Rev wrote:Monstrously high level? Hmmm. What were the names of these 3 highest level players of the game? Level 40 in a couple weeks? You must of been off work those couple weeks to hit level 40 that easily eh?Da_Rev wrote:Monstrously high level? Hmmm. Remember they started boosting points payout in team runs. That meant I hardly ever raced alone after that. The points were pretty incredible. The money was great too. That was when I bid $10 mil on the chopped SS Maro. People thought I was crazy. They guy who sold it had it set that high so noone would buy it.
Shortly after that is when people figured out how much money we could make, I was praying that noone was really paying attention. I think I paid $30 mil for my Vert 442. Again, money was easy to make the game was shutting down so what the hey.
I also started collecting Decals. I had most of them in the game. Real fun stuff.

Even before...
Even before they boosted the payouts I would get up to level 40 and start over again. I kept a couple at 40 at all times. I was on all the servers plus test center.
Points were pretty easy to make if you knew which tracks to run. It also helped that they were some of my favs.
I spent a lot of time in my 65 stang running up and down those city streets. Drove my 40 Ford for days on end up and down Redlight district.
I had a whole system worked out to level up quickly. It all came down to knowing which tracks to run.
Highest level guy I believe was RWC Jr. That guy was a driving machine. He was in competition with another player, who ended up selling his persona on EBay. I believe when he sold it he was the highest player, shortly after that RWC took the lead and the other guy never had a chance.
BearCat I believe was second in the club.
I always liked to create new players, UDntkwme, HooDat and beg for money from those guys who had to be obviously rich. They just never knew when I would turn up.
I had 2 accounts and really loved leveling up.

I remember the wrayth on uptown being the richest he was the richest something like 20 or 30 levels higher than just stopped and lost interest I also remeber paying 3 million for a vert 442 the orange one it took forever to get that much cash, I mean forever, but I did it I was offered over 40 mil for it in the end what a joke the way they gave out cash all that did was to overprice everything, I also had every 65 stang convert byt the end accept the ugly green one I forget the name,
nothing compares to it so I guess I will have to buy forza which looks very good
timbuc40k/stoner/hammered from uptown

And how he turned around and sold it for 5mil
I miss that car
Even the Chopped Rusty 69 GTO. :-P

I wasn't a high level or anything, but towards the end of the game I was level 70 something (was level 45-50 till the payouts got higher) but I was one of the richest people on Xroads
Something in and around 450 million and most of the really rare cars, every Chopped SS car I could find, plus some of the rare vert cars (442, 59 Caddy, ect, ect) and when the payouts got higher, I had people offer me 100's of millions for my collection (Someone offered me 200mil for the Chopped Impala SS alone!)
Anyways...I wish the game was still around, but I've moved on and found other things to keep me busy.

You people and your rares
My fav was the Series 42(47?) Caddy Vert. Me and some friends would Class B em and race them everywhere. Nothings harder then trying to pass a Caddy, in a Caddy on Skoggit. Always turned into a demo derby, but its not like we were going that fast. lol
Had some great replays though.

But the funny thing was, I didn't spend my time in n00b info (Gen Chat for you people that didn't join right away :-P) I raced! I was always on the top 10 for Skoggit, Deadmans, HH, IF, and Bel-air, I was one of the rare people that raced the rares (Other then the Impala SS) I was always up for a race, the question was, did anyone else want to raceLMAHD+ wrote:Thats not saying much.FlAwLeSS wrote:but I was one of the richest people on Xroads .
I even had my Chopped Nova SS setup for drag racing!!! (Old school drag car from the beta!) Almost everything I owned that would run a good time (Even if it took alot of work to get the right setup) I would race, lol! I used my '59 Caddy for IF sometimes!
