Saw this on the Motor World Online forums. strange...
Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS) is preparing to launch its advanced casual game "NBA STREET Online" through the game's China region operator, T2CN, in the first half of 2009, reports 17173.com quoting EA China Vice General Manager Zhong Xingxing. Electronic Arts plans to release MMORPG "Warhammer Online," massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game "BattleForge" and car racing game "Need For Speed: Motor City Online" in China in the future, said Zhong.

T2CN owner GigaMedia Limited (Nasdaq:GIGM) signed a three-year licensing agreement for NBA STREET Online in July.

So, if it is being released in China I'm going to guess that you wouldn't be able to get to the server from outside of China. Are they going to just release the same game we had here or have they done updates?

I tried following the link in the first post but, at work at least, it tries for a while then i get the page cannot be displayed message. I would love to hook up my wheel again for this.

OK, I am guessing that many things were lost in the translations. :smt013

So I started following links and sites using the Bablefish webpage translator in my yahoo toolbar.

First I cam across this pageTRANSLATED

I clicked on the link that says[EA to distribute 5 model of nets in China to tour], and low and behold it took me to this page TRANSLATED

So, after reading the name of the racing game(someone screwed the pooch in their translations)
"Best quality goods Speeding car Online"
I clicked through the pages to page 6, and found out what "Best quality goods Speeding car online" really meant. :smt097

Hahaha - wow. And what the hell is an "advanced casual game"? If they can get their games localized into 120 different languages, you'd think the press releases could be a little more accurate.
