I was thinking that it would be cool to have a flat bed truck with a ramp on the back of it that drove around the track real slow, like those traffic cars:)

I had that same problem with bigger trucks , I never did figure it out , but if you havent fixed it yet ill look into it.

oh yeah, Alejo it would be sweet if you could make us a track that has a bunch of ramps in it and maybe a few large objects to jump over:)

Hi guys, made an upgrade for the Badlands track. Looks much much better. Changed some textures, redid the sky and reworked the cameras. Also tuned the SCN files for no more mountain pop-ups and better draw distance.

Man that looks neat. Here's a question, can any of these be ported to F1C?

I've heard people converting tracks and cars from SCGT to F1C and that both games are similar (I think F1C even uses VRLs). So I guess everything in SCGT can be ported to F1-C.

 I found some "holes" on the released Scalextric track that I thought I had corrected but weren't actually fixed :? But don't worry, I already made the fix and just sent it to Jmann. Those holes caused some wierd anoying crashes (very rare but hey were there) near the flags, this new MAS file will fix it 8)

Exactly Midtown!! Is that easy, in the ***DMAP.MAS are the BMPs and in the ***D.MAS are the VRLs. Edit the VRLs as you like (but if you change the layout the AI won't follow any longer). If you plan to add more objects to the track, you can add a VRL, then call it on the SCN file. Open a SCN file and you'll understand right away how it works.

There is an important rule to follow: unlike the cars, you cannot name the BMPs as you like. You have to name them with an "allowed" filename stated in the terrain.aiw so SCGT knows how to react on each surface. Besides that you can edit freely 8)

so if I want to edit textures on an existing track, if I treat it exactly as a skin, just edit, save, and re-insert into the .MAS it should work fine huh?
if so Im gonna have to livin up the roads a bit :)

hey Alejo, i tried the to make a truck with a ramp on it but when you try to drive up the ramp it acts like it isnt there and you hit the back of the car.
Any ideas?

And do you think you could edit a track to be the same shape as BAGP from MCO if we all provided you with enough screen shots and maybe some replays , and I also know were to get a miniture model of it that shows the whole layout but it doesnt have textures its just white.but it would prolly be a good way to see the shape:)

thanx,

Nitroous, that sounds cool 8) But I am not that skilled in Z-Modeler yet ](*,) to be able to shape the entire track in an efficient way. I can make objects from scratch, map them, modify VRLs but doing the whole track would take me forever. But I would love to do it :D someday I will spice up my Z-Modeler skills.

Now for something pretty dumb:

I converted this Alpine track from Racer:

Pretty cool, but here is the silly part: finished the conversion and started to read the redme to find this:

Alpine, Racer track converted from SCGT!!!!

Holy cow, but I have never seen this track in SCGT!!!

cool
want the goose point VRL, i think its used for the spinning track in the lobby from mco but still i think it might work, since i know nothing about SCGT track editing i figured you may be able to do something with it, if we got it and then got it mapped out it would probably work alright.. worth a try?
