Because today I received notice that I have been recommended for admissions to graduate school in Geology at the University of Texas. :-[smilie=thumbup.gif]

I only have to pass through the Graduate Dean, which is a straightforward process (basically, they double check you are who you said you are and you didn't lie on the application), I don't lie on forms have a criminal background, so it should be pretty simple.

Spring Break is next week, PARTY AT MY PLACE!! Bring your lampshades and favorite beverages, everyone is invited (no seriously you are all invited).

To head that off at the pass, I took Intro to Geo (had to take that years ago), and this semester I am taking Sedimentary rocks. Even thought it's Geology, it is for Vertebrate Paleontology, so most of my classes outside of Vert. Paleo will be in Biology since we share many methods (Systematics, BioStatistics, Comparative Anatomy, etc.). My first semester will be Vert Paleo Course (unknown which yet), Beginning Systematics, and the required course on being a TA, the rest of my time taken up by proposal writing, committee gathering, teaching, and research. I think it will actually be a lot of fun. :-[smilie=thumbup.gif]

I wish I could go buy a car right now, but alas, I don't collect my first paycheck until September. So, I have to figure out how to pay my bills through July and August at this point, somewhere around November/December is when I will buy.
